| When is a good time for first grooming? My baby is at 18 weeks and her hair on her face and ears especially is getting really long. But is it too early to take her to be groomed?? I know I cannot do it myself but I don't know if I want to take her to a groomer JUST to have her ears trimmed. Any suggestions?? ALSO- Is this a good age to also start thinking about getting her spayed?? What is the ideal age for spaying?? I know I need to start thinking about it atleast.

| She should go to the groomer as soon as she has had all vaccines, including bordetella. That should coincide with the age for a spay, 6 months or so.

| I know that I was told by my vet not to take my pup to the groomer until he had finished his series of puppy shots, then it is safe to take them. Spaying is recommended to be done around 5-6 months of age. I had my pup neutered at 5 months.
