| Modified Coat...Need Help...Badly Okay girls, I have tried to research the Modified Coats here and can't understand it all for nothing. I have a video of Sir. Galahad and Teddy in the video section. Can U all go view it and look at him please...Please. I posted it and Tami ask if he had cleared his head yet. Well he'll be 2 the 4th of May. Shouldn't he have cleared all his colors by the age of 2? Do they keep clearing right up until the age 2, I mean he's only got what 6 weeks before he's 2. I need to know what type of coat U all think he might have. & I need to know exactly what a Modified Coat is by that I mean...I have 2 Silkys (Sage & Sofie) 1 Cottony (Teddy) I'm wondering about Weezie too now, she has the thickest coat ever not puffy at her rear end like her Daddy Teddy is, it does matt badly. Could she & Galahad have Modified Coats??? Galahads' head as I've stated before is so very dry, wasn't like this say before Christmas (Not sure how long it's been this way), then all of a sudden here it came, can't for the life of me get it to be not dry, I thought it was due to his rubbing trying to get anything out of his coat that I put in to help it not be so dry or due to him pulling & rubbing his ponytails out. I don't know what it is with him, his back is just as silky and so pretty but his head is nasty if I have to say so myself. Can U all help me please to know what kind of coat he has. I thought is was silk until now. Please go look at his video (There's 1 of him & Teddy and 1 of Galahad alone too) and U can view him on our web site under photo galleries under his name and see photos of him as he has grown. Thanks so much for all U're help. Galahad is to be Sages' Mate in the Spring of 2009 now I need to know if he should be mated to her due to what type of coat he has. I really need help on this from U experienced Show Breeders here that know the difference in coats. I was hoping to have a possiable show baby with Sage and Galahad. But now I'm wondering due to his coat. Sages' is silk, her color is beautiful and she has the redleg gene in her line. Maybe I'm just worrying to much about it all??? Hugs |
