Grooming Video Tutorials (by Marcerella02) Hey YorkieTalkers. As per the request of another YT member I made videos of me grooming Layla. To my surprise they were a HUGE hit and now it is a sticky (yay! my first ever sticky!) I will shortly be adding a video of grooming legs, plucking ears and trimming the face. If ANYONE wants a further detailed video of anything.. please PM me and i would be MORE than happy to add it! chances are if you dont' understand something, someone else doesn't either Hope these are helpful Marci and Layla Last edited by admin; 02-20-2008 at 09:33 AM.

ok this video got cut off... ran out of time on my camera... but basically if you trim her belly when she is on her hind legs you can get the side hair without having to worry about getting that fold of skin... Also i use the small clipper (that i show you in the next clip) and put her on the back on the ground to get that hair... Last edited by admin; 02-19-2008 at 11:37 PM.

i think what you specifically asked for was how to do the face.. this is THE hardest part... because she hates it.. lol.. well she USED to... still isnt' crazy about it but she now udnerstands that each time i do it.. she gets a small treat.. and even though she might jump or flich.. i hold on and finish the cut before she gets anything... i usually have my mom on the other side holding her but she was manning the camera i part her hair in the middle ot make sure i get the hair that is usually pulled back in a clip. oh crap id din't show you how i do around her eyes.. if you want that let me know

Here is the video for ear plucking. I had no idea you even had to pluck their ears until my cousin's dog got a horrible ear infection and the vet said a great way to prevent it was to pluck their ears. I PROMISE this does not hurt them! Layla doesn't even flinch when i pluck her ears. I mention in the video you don't have to use the powder but i think it would be VERY difficult if you didn't. Also i try to do this a little bit each week so i don't have tons of hair to have to pull out. it will leave their ears red but that will go away shortly. Also i forgot to mention earlier.. everyone has commented on how well behaved layla is... PLEASE keep in mind this is after MANY grooming sessions at home with LOTS of treats and praise. When i cut her facial hair, she only gets a treat if she behaves (doens't jerk away) and now she knows if she stays still she gets the treat!
