| My FIRST Chris Christensen Brush!! :( A while back I decided to start getting some CC brushes. They're expensive, so I can only get one at a time. The problem is that every time I go to buy one I get so confused that I end up not getting any. Which CC brush does what? So confused. Which one should I buy first and why? Which don't I need at all? They have so many brushes to choose from and very little information: Oval Brush Fusion Oval Brush Pocket Brush Fusion Pocket Brush Oblong Brush Fusion Oblong Brush Little Wonder Pin Brush Gold Series Pin Brush Ionic Brass Boar Bristle Brush Finishing/Polishing Brush And then there are the multitude of Slicker Brushes. Not to even mention combs!! Can someone please help me out here? I'd appreciate it so much! Also, does anyone know a less expensive place to buy CC products? TIA

Therapy Dog Donating Member | I was confused too but I posted in the grooming and showing section and those wonderful ladies did not steer me wrong. I got the CC Gold Pocket Fushion brush cause it's smaller than their regular brushes and has the gold tips (I love this brush and it's small for Izzy since she is tiny). I also love, love the CC rattail comb and use that more than the brush. I also bought their Ice on Ice spray. In between bathing I spray the Ice on Ice on Izzy and then let it dry for a little bit and then comb through. She has no static (since it's so dry now in the house with the heat on during winter) and she is so soft and smells so pretty. You get what you pay for and yes these CC brushes and combs are more expensive but oh so worth it. Good luck and let us know which ones you decide on getting. I might get another comb in spring. But I love the rattail one for doing topknots.

| I have the CC oval 20 mm brush and I like it. I also bought the ice on ice and love that! I am trying to decide on a comb, but not sure what to get... I talked to a lady who i purchased the CC brush from and she said I would probably use the comb more because most of the brushes are like "finishing brushes" She grooms and shows dogs...

| Love My CC Brushes I have four CC brushes (different brushes for different coats). I use the Fusion oblong 20mm the most on my yorkie's coat. Works wonderfully on his long coat and is easy to grip. I also have the Fusion pocket brush 20mm for around little or delicate areas. Also for my two malts I have the Gold Series Oval and Fusion Oval, both 27mm for their coats. I use all the brushes on all three for different areas. I also have one of the CC buttercomb 000 that I just love!!!! And last but not least I bought the Soft Boars Bristle brush for doing the face during brush sessions as it is soooooooo gentle to the face area. I sometimes just use it while they are sitting with me to brush their coats. I only have one more comb to buy and my collection will be complete for my babies! I definitely LOVE the CC brushes!!!

| I have sworn by the CC Gold Series brush since it first came out a few years ago, but I have found a brush I like much better.... Madan pin brushes. A few of the show people on the Maltese forum I belong to started raving about these brushes. They are much less than CC brushes, too. I got mine right around Christmas and I am sold! It is absolutely by far the best brush I have ever used and I have tried both the CC Gold and Fusion brush and the A#1 All Systems, too. This brush just glides through Lady's coat. Lainee carries them, but they are cheaper from a gal who sells them at shows, Cindy Fern-King. She sells them for only $16.99 plus priority shipping. You can see what they look like here: http://www.laineeltd.com/cgi-bin/lai...es_madden.html If you want to order one from Cindy, her email address is c.fernking@comcast.net. You will love this brush! |

Yes, they all have the same soft pad which is what we want for single coated dogs like Yorkies and Maltese. One of the black brushes has a red pad which is for a double coated dog like a Shiz Tsu. You will love your Madan brush! | |
