| NJ Watch Your Yorkies.. For all of you Jersey gals and guys, specifically MiddleTown NJ area WATCH YOUR YORKIES AND OTHER PETS. Four pups, one cat and one older Yorkie were killed by Coyotes. A toddler was also grabbed but rescued. This is the first time in NJ that Coyotes have been on the attack. They are trying to locate atleast the coyote that tried to grab the toddler and they have alerts on all coyotes right now, telling locals to be careful. Just wanted to give everyone the heads up. | Holy Cow! I lived in NJ all my life and I never heard of coyotes attacking....we always had to worry about the bears where I was, but wow. Thanks for the news, I am going to call my mom and make sure she knows. Sometimes she lets the cats out back.

| That is so scary! Poor pups and I can't even believe one went for a child! What's happening to our wildlife. There was ,or is still , a 6' brown bear on the loose about 20mins from me. I hope and pray they catch it before it finds it's way to my condo's. I get so nervous walking Buddy at night. Between walking around the deer, afraid of the cayotees and now a bear I wish I could potty train him on the toilet! I have thought about it, really. Just do know how he would lift his leg! |

| I heard that on the News also. Two years ago, we had a coyote in our neighborhood. People lost their cats, rabbits and 2 people were attacked in broad daylight while walking their dogs (big dogs)! The State Divison of Wildlife FINALLY came and trapped her..seems she had babies which they said caused her to be so brazen. They never did find the male.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i wonder if the coyote is a female with babies. its such a shame what's happening to our wildlife here in jersey. Where i live there is a moutain that is being destroyed to build condos.... well the building is pushing all the wildlife down the mountain. There have been deer in my yard and its quite a hall from the mountain for the deer to walk because its quite a neighborhood. Also the black bears are coming down too. luckily the ones that have been spotted were chased back up the mountain because they are scared of people. I've seen dead coyoties on the sides of the road but so far haven't seen any running around. i feel so bad for them. we're ruining our wildlife.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | there are coyotes in NYC too. there was one found in Central Park last summer i believe. So that goes to show you how much we're ruining our environment and wildlife.
