| Groomers in NYC? Greetings! I wonder if anyone can recommend a good groomer in NYC, preferably in midtown west, that doesn't cost me as much as I paid for my little baby? :-) I was thinking of using Pocket Pooches on 9th avenue near 50th Street - anyone familiar with it? A friend of mine gets his Yorkie's grooming done there and they do a great job, plus it's right near work for me. But I am having a bit of a moral quandary as I have heard they sell puppies from mills, and certainly don't want to support that. In any case, any recommendations you folks might have would be most appreciated! All the best - Brian |

| Pocket Pooches I took my yorkie to pocket pooches once. I didn't have a good experience with them. I was told to pick him up in four hours which is the norm, I called before I picked him up and was told he was ready. When I got to the store I had to wait for about 20 minutes until Rusty was returned. But that's not really the bad part, Rusty was also acting weird. I am not sure if some groomers give dogs medication to calm them down during the grooming, but Rusty was sure not himself. He's usually very excited to see me and my boyfriend, but he just seemed out of it this time. The whole deal was just a little too strange for me. I now take Rusty to Coco and Toto which is on 51st between 9th and 10th. The grooming is $65.00 and they've done a very good job the two times I've taken my baby there. |
