| traveling by airplane to the beach Hello everyone! We are visiting my sister that lives at the beach, and we are taking Gypsy with us. I checked with the airline, and they don't allow dogs in the cabin, so she will need to be in the luggage. I wonder If I should ask something. They told me they're putting her in a separate room, not in the luggage room. I wonder if you know what kind of place they put them in. The requisites are: vaccination card letter of the vet, saying she's in good health a kennel with absorbent material. The flight lasts one hour, but we have to register two hours beforehand. I wonder if you can tell me something I might be forgetting, or overlooking? Also, I want to take her to the beach, but I wonder if I should take some precautions. I live in a very mild climated city, and we don't have problems with fleas or other animals, so I wonder if I should take a flea repelant of some sort? Also, can she get hot at the beach? what about her long hair and the sand and sea water? Any help will be appreciated thanks

| Wow, I have only ever flown with a pet in the cabin with me, so I have no advice for flying a puppy as cargo. As far as the beach goes - the first thing I would be concerned about if dogs are allowed on the beach? I have been to a doggy beach before. There you must be prepared for all kinds of dogs - big and small. Definitely take plastic bags to pick up anything you wouldn't want on a beach - a towel for your pup, definitely some shade - like an umbrella, a bowl and some water. perhaps doggles, and if she likes to chase things, a ball. Be prepared to rinse her off in the shower area when you're done, as you will have a sandy matted mess, then head home for the official bath, so bring all your regular doggy supplies. I wonder how hot it will be where you're visiting, that would be my other concern. Please take into consideration, how hot it is and how long you keep your furbaby at the beach
