| New to this site!! Plz help with airtravel for new baby!! Hi! Me and Miss Daisy are new to this site. Miss Daisy turned 3 just two days ago We want to get her a little baby brother or sister...and are flying to TX in about 3 weeks for 1 week (baby girl being home sitted by relatives) The baby will fly back home to CA, with us,a 4 hr flight. Have any of you brought a fur kid home by air? (in cabin with us, thinking about the Sherpa carrier...small size good for plane ride, but medium might be better to double as a travel bed when I take him/her to work with me??) Miss Daisy does by the way, already have an eight year old pomeranian "brother" who she is very close to. Any thoughts? Thanks |

LUV my 3 Furrs & Alex Donating Member | Welcome to YT, I don't have any thoughts on this as I have never flew with my babies before. But I am sure someone here will be able to help. Good luck and congratulations on your new addition!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Reese flew home with me from California....7 hours total....4 the first leg then 3...and until the stewardess asked to see him no one even knew he was on the plane. I'd suggest the medium carrier. Place a pee pad inside...although to be honest...Reese went before we got on the plane and didn't go again until we landed. I gave him some nytrical before we boarded, had a small bag of kibble, and a travel water bottle. Enjoy your new baby....you'll get lots of awww's in the airport.

| Thanks for the advise...from what I have read on YT and other places, it doesn't seem to be a problem..and our flight from TX to CA will be about 4 hrs non-stop. One more thought...you know how your ears get plugged up on take off, and even more so on preparing for landing?? How do you help the baby with that, since I am thinking he or she can't chew gum LOL ! |
