| Sassy's First Plane Trip My Sassy had a new adventure! We flew to Philly to visit my kids in New Jersey for Christmas. She met soooo many new folks. And I was so very proud of her because she was such a good girl. On the plane from Fresno to Dallas/Ft Worth, she stayed in my lap under my coat. Never once made any noise. Same on the next leg of the flight from Ft Worth to Philly. When we got to my daughter's house, I think she thought that since we slept there, we had moved in. She treated it like it was her own home, barking furiously at anyone who entered. Once she got to know the 'regulars' she was a bit better about that. She also went with me to Maryland to visit more family. She barked at most everyone that came in until there were so many she finally gave up. Everyone was enchanted with her and she was touched and handled more in the time we were gone that in her whole life, but she really enjoyed her trip. I think the thing she enjoyed the most was tormenting my daughter's two Tom cats. Although, she didn't realize that she was very lucky they were so tolerant. They were both three times her size. Their dog liked her a lot and it made me a bit nervous when they played because the other dog was so much bigger (a wirehaired terrier), but nothing bad happened. The only thing on the negative side was that she was very clingy....wanted her mommy constantly. My granddaughter was a big help in this area as she was more than willing to snuggle her when I needed to be doing other things. On the way back she was on my lap for the first leg of the flight but on the second part, they made me put her in her carrier under the seat. She didn't cry, but I did...nahhh...just kidding . I didn't like it too much, though. It was explained that she might get away from me and poop on the plane and that others might have allergies. They had no way of knowing that she wasn't gonna get even and inch away from me, I guess. She never went pp all the way there or back until I got her outside. I was amazed. When we got of the plane at all locations, everyone complimented me on her behavior and that they never heard and noise from her at all. Good trip, good baby and so very glad to be home in our own territory and sleeping in our own bed!! So that's it. Sassy's big adventure. Turns out I was nervous for no reason. Happy New Year to everyone from Sassy and Me. |

| Sounds like you both had a great vacation. Am glad you weren't stranded at any of the airports like I had seen on the news. I'm sorry they made you put her back in her carrier. Was she hidden under your coat on the way back? How did they know she was not in her carrier? I think it all depends on the flight attendents. Some will not say a word as long as the dog is tiny and being quiet. Welcome back. |

I also forgot to mention that the health certificate they required.....they had absolutely no interest in. I tried to show it to them and nobody wanted to see it. Go figure. | |
