| The best thing to do is to say calm and positive. I had the same thing happen to me and had to go in for a biopsy. Turns out to be nothing at all, so I still don't understand it all. I've had a couple of friends have the exact same thing happen to them as well. Think positive!!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I don't know why they send letters out like that. A doctor should call. It is so scary. That happened to me and I got the letter on Friday after work and couldn't get ahold of anyone until Monday. Then my doctor(ex doctor) told me it was up to me to follow up on it. It turned out a repeat mamo to be just a positional thing. I will keep you in my prayers.

| I had that happen to me as well. I know it's scary. Try to take a deep breathe and not think about it too much. Of course, be sure to talk to your doctor and investigate but try not to worry too much.... |

| I know you are worried and can understand why, its normal for us to assume the worst but please try to remain positive. Doctors are not able to tell you anything over the phone so that's why they call you in. I had a doctors office call me and tell me that they needed to see me asap, needless to say I was a mess. I ended up going in to be told that my pap smear results were inconclusive and they just needed to repeat the test. When I got the results of my next test it was normal. All these test can be inconclusive, my mom had a mammo come back abnormal and retook it came out good. Moral of the story...dont stress unless there is something to stress about Im sure you will be ok

YT 500 Club Member | I certainly hope that all is okay for you. I am a 9 year breast cancer survivor, and I can tell you that, at the time, I was not told in a letter to get another test. However, a couple years ago I got one of those letters, and believe me, I was terrified. It was nothing, and things continue to be normal. Best of luck to you.

| Take a deep breath!! The chance that it anything serious to worry about is small. I know because this happened to me a few years ago. I got that dang letter in the mail, called my Doctor, Went in to have an ultrasound, then a needle biopsy. Very scary stuff. I did have to have a surgical biopsy in the hospital because the others were inconclusive, by that point I figured I had breast cancer. I didn't, I had micro calcifications which they removed in the hospital biospy. All that and it was nothing but months of stress & worrying. My mammograms come back clean now. My best friend got one of those letters saying she needed to come back in & it was just because the mammographer forgot to note a mole on one of her breasts. I'l keep you in my prayers though!

| I will keep you in my thoughts hug: and prayers . I know that type of letter is scary and you have visions of the worst. BUT many times tests are read wrong and/or what appears to be something winds up being nothing. |

| First of all, know that we're sending good thoughts your way!!!!! Next, listen to what everyone else has said. I know it'll be almost impossible but try to stay calm until you know anything further. I'm sorry that you got that letter, you really should have gotten a call from your doctor but that's in the past now. Again, the results could have been due to so many things. My Mom goes through that all the time, she now has to get an ultrasound with every mammogram since they always come back needing further results. Think good thoughts and best of luck with your doctor this afternoon. We're hoping all turns out well! |
