| Dallas area Get Meetup Hey guys! Anyone in the Dallas area interested in a meetup on June 24? A couple of us are trying to put something together. Hopefully some of you are interested. Because of our wonderful weather here, we'd like to try to do it at one of the Petsmarts. They will allow us to use their training facility as long as it is at a time when they are not having a class (obviously). It's a good area because it's pretty good size, safe for the babies, mommies have somewhere to sit, and most importantly...air conditioned!!! Please respond here or PM me if you are interested!!!

| Hello!! We're in Carrollton so Lewisville would be great for us! So far, we have nothing planned for the 24th so we'd love to attend. We have Paddy & Kenzy and the three puppies (14 weeks). Keep us posted...

| Hello, all. I checked with the store in Lewisville & they said that they would do it, but that they do have a lot of classes. I asked what time is available on Saturday & they said that they have classes from 8 am until almost closing. So I asked about Sunday. "Oh, we have lots of classes all day sunday too." So that store is out. I dont' think they really wanted to do it. I've NEVER seen a Petsmart that has THAT many classes going on. I'm going to stop at the Petsmart I usually shop at after work today & talk to them. I know the trainer there, so maybe they'll be more accommodating. They should be...I spend enough $$$ in that store. Between the vet, the store itself & the groomer, it seems like I'm there all the time. I'm hoping that that store is ok with the rest of you. It's the one on 635 & Macarthur. We could do a dog park, but it's so hot that I don't think that's the best idea. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

| Keep checking the thread, though, because if Saturday doesn't work out timewise with the store, we might have to move it.

| Well, it looks like the stores are out. They are willing to do it, but can't on weekends. I'm not sure if anyone can meet during the week because it looks like we are spread far and wide. No one is really close. Anyway....what do we want to do now? I still really want to do something. I'm worried about the heat outside, but am not sure how hot it's supposed to be this weekend. Any suggestions? Please?

| We now have family coming in town, so we are not available this weekend. Sorry! But I do know that North Richland Hills just opened a very nice new dog park and the small dog area has alot of shade.....not much seating, but everyone could bring chairs. We were out there last weekend at the grand opening event and we were very impressed. Maybe if something was scheduled earlier in the morning - about 10am or maybe even like 7pm - it would be cool enough. Just some thoughts..... Week nights are not good for us....it is usually almost 7pm before everyone gets home and then it would be an hour drive across town for us.....so it would need to be a weekend. Kristin (Lil Mis Magic) thinks there might be a place in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas that offers a self grooming environment, a small eating area that allows pets and also advertises they do birthday parties.....let us do some checking and see if it might be available for a meet-up. I will post what we find out.
