| my baby had one weepy eye... i took him to the vet because his left eye was constantly teary for 3 days...when he woke up in the mornings, his eye was almost shut b/c of the eye gunk. The vet ended up doing some sort of "eye stain" which I guess is the test. i had to put in eye drops in both eyes, 2x a day, for 14 days. The drop was called "neomycin and polymyxin b sulfates and dexamethasone opthalmic suspension USP". He is doing fine now...hope that helps. |

| did you get shampoo in his eye? yorks are very sensitive to chemicals and can get chemical burns on their eyes quite easily.

| Soleil has always had one wet eye..the vet wasnt concerned about it and said it wasnt an infection and it can happen with puppies..as long as it wasnt sealing her eye shut or getting gunky it wasnt anything to worry about.. Dawn |

| I've heard that gunky eyes comes from the minerals in the water. My breeder suggested giving my yorkie only distilled or pure filtered non-mineral water. |
