| Yes the smelly poop is common. It is a good sign that he is eating normally.

| My little one had it and made a full recovery. Just try to practice good hygiene with the feces and I had mine retested after treatment just to make sure we had rid her of the parasite. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I'm sorry your puppy is sick but it sounds like just the beginning stages of coccidia - you were smart to get him in so quick .....with the right medicine he should feel much better in a day or so and all the best to you |

| That is great that he is still eating..alot of dogs won't with coccidia and that imposes a HUGE problem...so glad you found it so soon and he is being treated....the meds will definetly help with the smelly poo poo..I totally relate to that..it is rough!!! |

| Thanks all again for the well wishes...hes only had his first dose, but he still seems fine! Glad we caught it early, i would hate to see him not eating, etc...it was bad enough having a sleepy dog after his rabies/booster shot. Ill update once his medication is done and we get his sample tested again! |
