Cry ZsaZsa fell off the bed

My little girl fell off the bed and her right back leg is hurt. She's not using it at all. I gave her 1/2 a baby asprin, the vet told me she could have 1/4 of one when she was about three pounds and she's now 6 1/2 so I think it's the right dosage. I feel so bad for her. If she's not up and around in the morning I'm taking her to the vet to have it x-rayed. Once before she and Windsor were playing on the couch and she fell and hurt the left rear leg, the vet check her and it was only some soft tissue damage, she was better that afternoon. Hoping this isn't serious. Carol

Default next morning

Well she seems to be feeling better, but still using her leg very little. Last night I thought there was swelling but don't see any this morning. I think we'll be going to the vet to check it out just in case. If we weren't coming up on the weekend I might give it a day to see but don't want to wait until Monday if she doesn't show some more improvement. It's like having a baby again, they can't tell you what hurts or how bad........... Thanks for your concern. I'll post when we get back from the vet. Carol

I think if they break a leg they are in a lot of pain, and will be screaming.

Ok, here's my story, when Madda was 10 weeks old she fell off the pillow unto the floor. I called the vet and he suggested I put some Vitamin B on her leg, til morning. I took her in ,he said nothing was broken or there were no signs of a hairline fracture so he suggested to bath her in warm water...he put the analogy like when a football player or runner hurts their leg the trainer sticks them in the whirlpool to soften the muscles, ok same concept except in your sink. He reccommended to buy her vitamins and to do leg massages. It worked believe it or not. She is almost a year old and she is my very own "go fetch baby"...lol..... good luck!

Default update

I called the vet when they opened this morning and explained what happened and how she is behaving. He said to continue with the asprin therapy and just watch her, if she isn't better to bring her in Monday. I know he's probably right and she doesn't really need to be seen since she's not crying and is using it a little, just hate the thought that it could be a fracture and not presenting yet. Will try to keep her quiet over the weekend, that will be a chore, she and Windsor play so hard. He seems to know she's not quite right though and being easy with her, did bark a little this morning trying to get her attention but backed off when she didn't want to play. Hoping for a quiet uneventful weekend. Thanks for the good thoughts and kind words. Carol

Oh poor baby . . . but if the vet does not seemed to alarmed that she does not need to be seen, I guess that's a pretty good thing. . . maybe just a sprain and that can take a few days to go away. Last night I got the scare of my life too when Annika fell off my bathroom counter . . . I put her there while I do my facial rituals but suddenly had to pee so I figure I can see her from where I am at so it was okay . . I told her to sit and stay and she was doing quite well but then she started to wander right next to the sink . . since there isn't much room to walk on she ended up falling Good thing it wasn't a bad fall but that got me out of my "seat" but not enough to catch her. . . That sure was a close call! Please give lots of kisses and cuddling to zsazsa from me and my furbabies

Thanks Des, I'm glad Annika didn't get hurt. These guys worry me so much sometimes... and my little boy didn't want to go to school today (they started here on Tuesday) he wanted to stay with ZsaZsa. I sent him off and told him she was going to be fine.

I think maybe I should order ZsaZsa a new harness, might make her feel better.

Oh your boy sure loves Zsazsa . . . ah don't we just spoil our kids . . . now isn't she the one with the full coat? You should try the new everyday T harness as I use buckles for closures instead of velcro and fairly inexpensive. I leave it on Annika these days as they are so light . . .

The velcro works great with her coat, she still has a little of that fuzzy puppy thing going on. Windsor has a very silky coat and the buckle may work better for him so his hair won't get caught in the velcro. I'll go look when I get home. Can't access your site from work.

I am so very sorry that Zsa Zsa has a booboo. Hope the asprin therapy works for her and she is running around like a wild woman by Monday

Sending and puppy kisses to help make it all better.
