| is he getting better or no? my poor baby's sick. i can't tell if he's getting better or not anymore. last tuesday his poop started to be a little more brick color and soft. last wednesday, his poop was soft brick color and he had bleeding and he vomited yellow stuff. last thursday, his poop was soft and brick color but otherwise no other health symptoms last friday, i took him to the vet. they ran a blood screen and fecal exam. he's diagnosed with enteritis and colitis. which is an infection or inflamation of the intestines and the large bowel respectively. he was given an antibiotic shot as well as antiparasitic medication. the vet also sent us home with antibiotics he should take orally for the next 7 days. last saturday, sunday, monday, his poop went back to normal color and texture. no other symptoms tuesday (yesterday) he woke up and vomited twice with yellow slimey stuff. vomited again in the evening except evening vomit contained food. poop appears normal. so my question is, can his vomiting due to the antibiotics? is he getting better but just suffering from side-effects of the medication he was given? should i take him back to the vet? or wait until his meds are finished? |

| To be on the safe side, I would at least contact the vet and see if this is normal. How is he acting otherwise? Is he playful, sleepy, restless, etc.

| What are you feeding him? Did the vet suggest boiled chicken with rice? Poor little guy.

| I think a call to the vet wouldn't hurt. Just to ease your mind, and that way the vet can decide if he needs to be seen or not. Good luck, and keep us posted!

| I agree, you should call the vet. Usually the antibiotics kick right in and it's a little strange that he is still throwing up. Good luck and keep us posted what the vet says! Anita |
