| Vinnie is in pain my 5 year old male Yorkie has been in pain and had a low grade fever since august 25th after getting his teeth cleaned, we have had him back to the vet 3 times, once to emergency on a Sunday, they can't figure out what is wrong with him, he says he's only a general practitioner and may need a specialist, that's not helpful, what kind of specialist? he is on pain meds and seems to do better on them. My thoughts are a slipped disk, dislocated jaw or damaged tooth, he shakes when he is in pain, he can't turn his head quickly, help!!! need direction dave michigan |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I think I'd maybe see a Neurologist or an Ortho...? Get his neck / jaw / back imaged really well! I'm so sorry your little baby is hurting so much .

| Oh my.... I am so sorry. I would start with internal medicine especially since there is a fever with it. They can do all necessary imaging. If it does turn out to be neurological, they can refer you to someone but they really should rule everything medical out first. You can find one at this site: American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine > Home Just look for Internal Medicine for Small Animals Welcome to YT! Please keep us posted!
