| My little Tinksy Hi...I stumbled across your site last week Friday when I was trying to get info on Liver Shunt. My little Tinkerbell's blood test came back today saying that she has 3x the normal reading . Apparently it affects their little brain eventually. Although I have been taken her to my vet from the start because she kept on throwing up her pallets...only now they decided to do blood tests.I'm faced with a VERY big decision now. Operation( if they decide after the scan it is still possible) or medication and special diet. I don't know anything about this liver shunt. Pleeeeeaaaassseee give me advice and info. I love her soooooo much. |

| How old is your baby? Has she had symptoms besides vomiting?

| No only the vomiting. She used to be so hyperactive. She turned 1 on the 7th of Dec. On the 16th we were at my brother in laws and she was running running running, playing with the kiddies, swimming...there was just no stop that day...and a month later. This!!! |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Also if the BATS reading was 3x normal - that would put the reading somewhere around 60+ after eating and doing the second blood draw. It might end up being something called MVD - microvalular disease. And this is often successfully controlled with diet and medication.

| I must just go and check with the Vet. They kept her there for the day feeding etc. She eats a lot though but doesn't pick up weight. |
