| Spider Bite? I found this bump on Buster yesterday and took him to the vet today. The vet thinks it's an allergic reaction to a spider bite or other insect bite. Buster got an antibiotic injection and some ointment to put on it. The bump is raised, very red, and feels crusted over on part of it. Is anyone familiar with a spider bite, does this look like one? This is my best picture, I took a lot of them but just as I think I have a good picture, he moves.

| Jeanie, this happened to my foster pup, Gizmo. Here is the thread about it: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...ider-bite.html Oh, and be warned, if it is a spider bite it will get worse before it gets better.

| Poor Buster! Teddy had what we believe was a spider bite that we had the vet check out. His was closed, but a big bump, similar to when I have had them. Buster's looks like Gizmo's. Teddy had a spray antibiotic and an oral med. Still took 3 weeks to go away.

| Noooo! Not that long, seriously? Can he be bathed, get it wet? Questions I thought of after I left the vet...I'll have to call tomorrow and ask...I feel like Rosanna Danna...

| LOL, Rosanna Danna. I do not see any reason why you can't give him a bath, but Linda would be the one to answer since Gizmo's bite was similar.
