| Pain out of nowhere???? Help please. Lou'e is my first dog - first puppy. He has been doing so well and has acclimated wonderfully to everything so far. But something happened this morning that has me gotten worried sick. He was running around and playing for most of the morning. I then put him on the bed to clean his eyes and then put him down on the floor and I walked out of my room and he soon after followed but he than stopped and started crying soooo loud over and over. I then noticed he couldn't walk and sorta fell over...but then he walked but his left hind leg was tucked in. Does anyone know what this could possibly be? I am worried about my baby. Thank you. -Sandra.* |

| I can completely relate to being worried its so scary when they are in pain I would take him to the Vet ASAP. It could be a number of things from a luxating patella to maybe he stepped on something. I hope he feels better. Please keep us posted.

| That is so sad and scary too. Hopefully the vet will be able to determine what's going on and get your baby feeling better!

| If he's in pain, don't wait for a regular appointment, tell them you are coming in, it's an emergency...

| Hello everyone - an update here... I took Lou'e to the vet Friday night and after X-rays and pain meds everything serious was ruled out and it turns out that it was just a sprain - thank goodness. The next day he was doing better and even better on Sunday. Thank goodness nothing more serious was going on. Thanks to everyone here for the support. -Sandra & Lou'e* |

| Did they just let it heal on it's own? Or did they give him pain meds!
