| Just got Neutered - Now the humping? My little guy just got neutered today , 7 teeth pulled and chipped. He is doing so much better than I thought he would. He barfed once, but has kept 2 very small meals down. HOWEVER - he has been a little humping machine -at first when I brought him home he did it once to my leg..... took a nap, then tried another hump. Now every time my my leg is in a humpable position - he goes for it. Really confused that he is now missing some man parts and he wants to start acting out? He has only lifted a leg to pee once (before today), and still squatted today after the fact. Good Lord, he just tried to get me again as I was tying this out. Anyone got "humping experience"?

| While he might be missing some parts, the hormones are still there. It takes several weeks for the hormones to flush completely out of his system. Another possibility is that he is simply uncomfortable. He might find humping to be weirdly comforting. He's a pup and has no inhibitions like we do. If he tries to hump, say no, pick him up and remove him from your leg. If he insists, walk away. He can't hump you when you're walking.

| Sir Humps a Lot We had a rescue that was neutered...we mistakenly thought that once the surgery was over he would quit marking things & would slow down on the aggressions. The aggression behavior stopped, except when the cats were in the room, the peeing slowed way down but he started humping everyone & at the time we had 10 dogs in the house. 3 of which were rescues & all had had some form of surgery on the same day...it was frustrating keeping him away from the other dogs. It only last for a couple of weeks...he finally developed into a normal dog. Have patience.... |

| same problem winston was a year old in June and has been neutered for many months now. Problem, he humbs any animal, blanket, etc he can get. Whats with this? he doesn't bother us just his things but it is still embarrassing. Any idea? I love him to death but I wish I could get him to stop this. I do tell him to stop when I catch him and he stops. |

| Sounds like he is all out of whack. His hormones are going to go crazy right now. Just treat it as an unacceptable behavior.

| Maybe it's just a behavioral thing? Did he hump a lot before being neutered? Nutmeg has been spayed for over a year now and I wake up every morning to her humping one of her stuff animals like crazy on my bed. She is big into the humping and has been doing it since she was just a few months old. |
