| Tina got hurt I knew it was coming since Tina has really no since of direction with the dementia. Bless her little heart, she just goes until she can't go no further and bumps into things and sounds sometimes like she is knocking her head off. We don't know what she hit but I noticed her ear was bleeding when I started to feed her breakfast yesterday. I have to hold her food for her and I cleaned her ear and put an antibotic cream on it after she eat. Today it is still bleeding and I can't even get all the dried blood off afraid I will make it worse. I put some perioxide on it tonite thinking maybe that would begin to dry it up but it must have been pretty deep because it looks terrible. I don't know if they can really do anything for an ear. Its down inside and looks like all the hide is off on the inner ear. I still may have to take her to the vet because I sure don't want it to get infected. Please say a prayer for our baby. We know her time is limited and its so hard. She has began to fall when she tee tee's just in the last couple of days. Eats good but just seems weak. Thanks for your prayers. |

| I am so sorry that your Tina is hurt. It does sound like she needs to see the Vet. It is so very, very difficult when they get old. I went thru it with my late Annie this past year, we lost her on New Years Eve. Prayers going out for Tina.

| I hate reading stuff like this, but I totally understand. WIshing both of you the best, and agree that perhaps a vet visit is needed. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I hope Tina's ear heals quickly. My senior Nikki is bumping into things a lot now and I worry about him getting hurt too. It's so hard to see them age.

| I am so sorry. It is awful to see them age. I would definitely take her to the vet to have that ear checked out. Will keep her and you in my thoughts and prayers.

| Dh said to just keep putting the peroxide on it to dry it up and not put anything like a salve on it that would keep it soft and running. Sometimes it looks just like a watery fluid and then it was just caked with the dark looking blood. She must have hurt it during the night. We have a doggie door also going out to the garage where they tee tee on papers at night. I can't let her go through the one going outside, she would never find her way back in. I think she got hung on something out there. I have moved and blocked everything I can but nothing works. I will try through tomorrow and if it doesn't look better then we will take her in Saturday. Never knew it could be so hard taking care of a senior baby. Hope someone loves me enough to take care of me like the care she has gotten down through the years. We love our babies, come what may. Thanks for praying for her. She has slept alot today which has helped some. I sleep when she sleeps. |

| We took Tina in to the vet and she really knocked a chunck out of that little year. For those who do not know she is our little schnauzer that is about the same size as a yorkie. She is very tiny and after examing her that also found out she had a ear infection which might have caused her to hit her year. They will shake their heads when they have an infection sometimes and we think that is what happened. Never did find out what she hit it on. It is still bleeding alittle but we have her on antibotics and salve for the wound. She also has cataracts on both eyes which schnauzers are prone to have when they age. Got drops for her eyes. Hope my baby is feeling better soon. They were going to do a Welliness check on her because she is due in Dec. so I said might as well do it because she only takes her shots every 3 years now. They did blood work which I will not hear until Mon. but I noticed they did not do her shots. It was all about 200.00 so I figured they had until I got home and look at the receipt. I am thinking my vet may think she doesn't have much longer and did not put her through all that. I'm almost afraid to ask but I guess we will know Monday. Poor little baby. She eats so good and her little back bone, you can feel when you pick her up. She was always alittle on the chubby side and it hurts to see her go down hill like this. |

| Gosh, we run to the vet or I call her about everything. Sometimes I think they probably think I'm too overprotective of my babies. I am really glad we found out, because I had no idea she had an ear infection. With her being as delicate as she is now, I try not to even stress her out when bathing or clipping her. I always trim down inside with the clippers in her ears but I did not know they had gotten bad down deep in there. I'm always afraid of hurting them with those forcep thingies to pull the hair out. I'm just going to let my vet do it from now on. I even get weak stomached when doing nails because I cut one down in the quick once and scared me to death. |

| No, I doubt they think anything like that at all. Vets love people who love their pets like you do.
