| Maya got stung by something !! Hi, I went with Maya to the park today and suddenly I noticed she was scratching her ear and was in pain. I looked at her and noticed her skin above her right eye was redish. I rushed to the vet and he said she might got stung by a bee. He gave her two shots and sent me home. Now she is ok but her eye is half closed and a bit swollen. she doesnt look like she is in pain but I hate seeing her like that. Does anyone here experienced something like that before? please share! Thanks! |

| That can happen to anyone, dogs, cats, humans. Glad you saw the Vet. Chances are, tomorrow most of the swelling will be gone. A month ago I put my can of Coke down outside to do something,. Came back, picked it up, took a swig, and got stung on the roof of my mouth by one. A week later, opening the back gate I got stung on my hand. I just popped a Benedryl. |

| Oh, yes! Muffin stepped on a bee once and Kacee got stung in her ear twice by a wasp. Just a week or so ago, Kacee stepped on a wasp. We're so lucky! Vet said to give her some benedryl and she should be ok. She was fine after awhile. She was in terrible pain for a few minutes and panting, but it just lasted a few minutes. No problems later.
