| Hoarse yorkie :( About a month or so ago, we took Bella to the vet because she had an infection on her foot. She had been licking the foot so much that it created a little pocket of infection and the dr. put her on anti-biotics. Foot cleared up, all seemed fine. Then about a week ago she started licking the same foot like crazy again. It's red in between her toes from licking so much. Called the vet and they suggested allergies and to give her half a 25mg benadryl. Did that yesterday and she got another one today. Now today she sounds hoarse There are times she goes to bark and nothing comes out, and then times when she does bark it's rough. She's not coughing, she hasn't been around other dogs (last time she was was 2-3 weeks ago at her last grooming), and she's acting like herself (eating/drinking normally). I have noticed at times when she licks she sounds a little congested and also she snores from time to time...not always, but sometimes. Could this all be allergies that will clear up with the benadryl? Would it cause her to lose her voice like this? I am so concerned because I've never experienced this with any animal before

| Thank you for posting that We took Bella to the emergency vet last night, she has a respiratory infection AND her foot is infected AGAIN. Vet thinks that both came from her grooming visit since Bella hasn't been around any other animals since then & that's how her foot got infected last time. We will be looking for a different groomer, which I hate because the people there have been so nice to Bella. But the poor thing has been to the vet twice in the last month and a half because of the same foot... it was healed before and within the last week or so it's infected again.
