| sick yorkie baby [FONT=Courier New]My husband and I got our Yorkie from a kennel, we have purchased another dog from there before and thought it would be fine, I know I should have got a Yorkie from a reputable breeder but it is too late. We got Quincy almost 2 weeks ago and he has been sick since, we had him for 2 nights and he took a turn for the worse, Hypoglycemia on top of his cold he had and he got our Chesapeake Bay Retriever sick too (he is better now). He was throwing up and had loose stool too. We are hoping he will feel better by the weekend so that we can bring him home, we visit him every day but it is getting harder just leaving him at the vet when he is so tiny and looks so sad. He is on three different pills when he is here- I just feel so helpless and am open to any suggestions. Thanks, New Yorkie owners |

| I am sorry that has to be real scary for your little pup to be so sick. Keep giving nutrical and let the vet treat him for the diahrea and vomiting. Best of luck. I hope he feels better soon.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OMG how scary for you - I wanted to wish you the very best of luck and I hope your baby will be ok - I know you feel bad enough without beating yourself up over the kennel & I wouldn't expect much help from them.... but I sure would document EVERYTHING...it may be handy in the future if you tried to recoup - The main thing now is your little baby getting better and you have my prayers for his recovery....I really hope he starts improving and can be back home with his new mom and dad....I'm so sorry you're going thru this... |

| Oh, I am so sorry to hear this. I will pray that your little pup will recover 100%. Did the vet say how long he expected to have to keep him? Did you notify the kennel of his condition? I hope he is home and smothering you with puppy kisses soon. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I'm so sorry. i got Cali from a breeder out of the paper and she had a rough two weeks, she had hypoglycemia twice even though I watched her so carefully had coccidia and kennel cough. She was at the vet 5 times in three weeks and at the mergency vet once. The vet said she was so small and her immune system was compromised from the coccidia and kennel cough and to hang in there she would get better and she did. She still has a bit if a cough and so does my pom wh got it from her, in spite of antibiotics, but she is full of fire now and yours will be to soon. It is so scary. I have had Cali 11 weeks now. How much does yours weigh and how old is she? Good luck |

| I had a check up with the vet and asked a million and one questions about my new little baby. One was about hypoglycemia...he said to give the "baby" some of the tube "Nutri-Cal" to help supplement. My little Abbie loves it...I think it must taste sweet. I hope your little one gets to feeling better.

| I am so sorry to hear about your little one. We know in our heads that staying at the vets is the best thing, but, lordy, is it hard to do that. Our hearts say "We want him home!" I so hope that he is well, or even better, soon. I do hope that you have contacted the breeder for help with the vet bills. Do you have a contract that you can nail them with? It sounds as if your baby was infected before he came to you cause the incubation periods are a lot longer than 48 hours... You and your baby will be in my prayers. Give the baby smoochies from us.. |
