| I would put some hydrocortisone cream or spray on it, just like I would do on a human. Watch for swelling & can give some benedryl (1/2 of childs dose)

| Piper just got stung on Monday. I of course freaked out. My vet said that you should see a reaction right away if it is going to be a bad reaction. He also said that if they start throwing up....get help ASAP. Along with a reaction you should see bumps, red ears, etc. If there is no reaction, he said don't worry. He actually didn't want me to give Piper anything if she wasn't showing any symptoms. But in case for 3lb 8oz Piper it was like 5ml of baby benadryl for her... I have all the paperwork if you still have more questions |

| when Madison was stung by a bee I googled bee stings on dogs. I found out meat tenderizer neutralizes the pain. She got stung on her leg and wouldn't walk on it. I made a paste of the meat tenderizer with water put it on the sting ( we think she removed the stinger by licking or it didn't stay in) then wrapped it with gauze for an hour. the gauze kept her from licking off the meat tenderizer. In the mean time we read all the warning signs that means she's having an alergic reaction. Which thank God she didn't have. Good Luck hope the dog is ok. |

| Sandy was stung by a bee when he was in the garden a few weeks ago. He licked his leg where he got stung crazily and after half an hour, he's back to normal. I was dead worried! |

| Thanks for the replies. The benadryl did the trick. The vet returned my friend's call and said she did the right thing and to call him back if Isla had any more problems. He would come in the office last night to check her. Isla was calm and sleeping the last time I spoke with her last night.

| Unfortunately for me, My Millie got stung by a Wasp and we almost lost her. She went into convulsions, vomitting, etc. Luckily, we were outside with her and actually saw her get stung, so when she immediately started foaming at the mouth we knew she had an allergic reaction to the sting. Rushed her to the emergency where doctors worked on her immediately. We had to leave her overnight. Doctors said had we waited 5 minutes longer we would have lost her. So.. one night stay in the hospital and a thousand dollars later, Millie was back to her old self.
