| Moses Since it has been so hot, we have been leaving our Labrador inside with Moses and Isabel. Last night when we left, he was in. When we came home, he had been in the garbage, even though I made a point to close the lid. There were corn cobs, pork chop bones, etc in there and there were parts of corn cobs on the floor. Now, before I got on this site, I used to give my dogs corn cobs to chew on, but not anymore. Moses is not well. He has 3 legs and occasionally when you pick him up the wrong way, it must cause him discomfort and he will yelp. This morning when we went for our walk to get the paper, he yelped and whined when I put his collar on and then after walking al ittle, he sat right down. Not Mosey's usual way. Just a little bit ago, I was holding him and he was kinda whining very softly. His belly feels tight, although he did poop first thing this morning. He just went into the kitchen and just laid in the corner. So, do I try the plain canned pumpkin to try to get him to poop? I don't even want to think he may have gotten a corn cob or bone stuck in him somewhere. Advice for home remedies first please. Stands without saying, he goes to the vet if he doesn't improve. Thanks |

| Also, the biggest sign he is not feeling well is that he did not follow me in here to the computer. He is beyond being my shadow, he is practically GLUED to me from the time he gets up until he goes down. Poor baby. |

| I don't know if anyone can advise home remedies, with everything you found laying on the floor, I would forget home remedies and get him into a vet as soon as you can. You know him and know if he is not himself.

| I'd get him to the vet. I wouldn't risk using any home remedies in this type of situation as it could make matters worse. We had the same problem with our GSD getting into the trashbin. Finally we just got into the habit of taking it out whenever we have to leave for any length of time. Especially with chicken bones.

| I agree with all of the others. With everything that he got into and with the symptoms he is having, he needs to be seen by a vet ASAP!

| There are no home remedies for possible bone or corn cob ingestion. He needs to see a vet immediately.

| Moses Just got back from the vet. No blockage, thank goodness. He was just impacted. She gave him an enema and he is good as new. I never saw so much poop in one little dog. No more garbage can parties for Mose. |
