| New 9 week old new puppy sick I made a huge mistake and bought an adorable little girl yorkie. All of a sudden she is sick, she has a loose gooey stool, and she is vomiting her food, and water. The breeder told me to give her EuKanuba Puppy dry and Ceaser Puppy wet, as that is what has been given to her. I know these brands are probably not the best for her, but I have been giving them to her as the breeder said too. I don't know what to do. I know for sure I'm going to the vet first thing in the morning, and I will be up all night monitoring her.

| Sending prayers for your little girl. I hope she is going to be ok. I would take her in first thing this morning. Babies this young can go down so quickly. Have you given her nutri-cal and make sure her gums are pink. She can dehydrate very quickly being this young. Keep us posted.

| Please take your pet to the vet immediately for evaluation. Anytime a dog exhibits these behaviors, it's time for a vet visit. Eukanuba is made from by-products and you definitely don't want to know what those by-products are, trust me. I'm not familiar with the Cesar brand. Once she's well, please consider one of the better quality foods. You will see an amazing difference. Good luck and keep us posted. |

| Just a little fyi: When you check gums on a pup looking for hydration status, you touch your fingers lightly on them and if they are sticky/tacky to touch then chances are the pup is dehydrated. Gums should be wet! Pale gums are indicative of a sick pup and mean that the oxygen is not getting to the tissues well, but can mean many things.

| You might try to bring in a sample of her poop. Take a plastic baggie and turn it inside out - grab some - then back your hand out and zip. Best Wishes and let us know how it goes at the vets.

| I have been up all night with her, and she pooped a loose stool once at 3am. Then she kept like wanting to vomit, and only a little bit would come out. But her dry heaving, was pretty bad. I just gave her some puppy nutri-cal, because her gums were very light, and sticky. She is drinking water, but not touching her food. Dont blame her because it smells. I'm wondering if I should just stick with what the breeder said to give her, or give her some of teddy's core wellness. Her stomach has been making gurgling noises all night and morning . Poor baby. The breeder hasn't even returned my calls at all. I am so upset with her, I can't believe she would be selling these puppies at this age, when I looked at her gums, I could barely see little teeth. Please pray for little choloe, I really want her to get better. Another thing that pops in my head is that I took her to the vet this past saturday, for her second set of shots, and just for a check up. I asked the vet if she was too young, he told me no. He said she will be fine.

| I am so sorry your baby is sick. I would take it to the vet and also find a good quality dog food. This site is very helpful on dog food ratings. Dog Food Reviews - Main Index - Powered by ReviewPost I hope your baby feels better soon

| As mardelin posted in your other thread, CA has a puppy lemon law. She must pay for your vet bills.
