| bloodshot eyes Hi my name is Jennifer and I'm new here. I have a resuce yorkie. His name is Dexter. The vet think he is about five years old. I had him groomed for the first time today and i noticed that the whites of his eyes are blood shot( i guess that is the right term, blood filled) is this a concern??? |

| It could just be from the stress of being groomed or his eyes could be irritated from shampoo. You can rinse them with Natural tears. Make sure there is nothing in the drops that says for allergy or takes the red out, just plain natural tears. |

| Yes, it could be from the grooming or it could be conjunctivitis in which case he needs prescription eye drops. If this does not clear by Monday, I would take him to the vet. Welcome to YT.

| Wonderful! Thanks for the update. I would let the groomer know next time to please take special precautions with his eyes.
