| Roxy has a strange bump under her skin!!!!!! I just noticed that Roxy has a hard bump under her skin right above her right hip bone. It doesn't hurt or bother her when I mess with it. It almost feels like a syst or a hard pimple. It is a little larger than a pencil eraser. There is no redness or leakage......any ideas???? I don't think I need to call the emergency vet and I will def call the vet on Monday.....any ideas though???

Donating YT 500 Club Member | My Bridget had the same thing - actually that is how I found YT. I'm no where near as experienced as the others but that seemed to be the cause of Bridgets bump. It took quite a while, but it eventually went away. Good luck!

| I am sure it is from the rabies injection as it is given in the hind leg. You should call your vet though to ask. Also, I do not let anyone give more than one shot at a time to my pups. I believe it is recommended now that they be given a few weeks apart.

| Rabies is given in the right hind area ("r"ight for "r"abies to remember ). Wouldn't hurt to call, but you can be 99.9% sure that's what it is.

| My little girl had a small bump a few weeks ago and I freaked out! Turns out she's just so little and the shot had caused a little bump/swelling! It went away within a few days! Hoping thats what it is! |

| Yup, it's likely from the rabies shot. Oliver had a large bump that showed up about a week after his shot. It stuck around for a few weeks and then disappeared. I absolutely freaked when I found it, I had no idea that this was a reaction from the shot - apparently it's quite common, too. Would be nice if the vets would warn ya! lol.
