| Cole Update: Disc Disease I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY My parents (izzierj) are on their way back from seeing a Neuro Specialist in AZ (the Dr. is actually from Cornell Univ ) And she did a complete and very thorough exam. He seems to be 100% healthy. She doesn't feel any spine, back, bone, knee issues - NOTHING at all. His xray shows no abnormalities, she confirmed this with another Dr. there too. She wants to ween Cole off the Prednisone. So they have to give him 1/4 tonight, nothing tomorrow and then 1/4 the next day. She wants to still keep him contained and quite till the end of the week and go from there. She said there is a small possibility that the Pred. is masking something, but we will see how he acts at the end of the week. She doesn't feel the need for a CT or MRI right now, and said if it ever happens again, to bring him back there. So, all in all, she feel he is a very healthy dog. She feels that he is just too young for Disc Disease. She said he may have been rough housing and there may have been swelling, but that he appears to be back to normal. THANK YOU to all your help and support and prayers |

| Thank you everyone....it is a big relief... Not sure how you all feel about signs...BUT...I truly believe in them, and I have said my special prayers for Cole. My Mom told me that the Dr. brought Cole out for a walk to see how he was, then back inside to finish the exam, she was feeling his legs, and she was picking off some of the little burrs from outside that he must have just got, well the saw a bug jump off of him ~ it was a Lady Bug ~ and they are One of my special signs |
