Prostate cancer My 9 year old neutered male was just diagnosed with prostate cancer and we are going to see an oncologist this Saturday so I'll let you all know what he says. He has all the classic symptons - stiff back legs, hunched back, incontinence, trouble going #2. Our vet has him on antibiotics (before diagnosis) and pain meds. This all came on so suddenly it was shocking.

I am so sorry your baby has prostrate cancer. I have read that neutering actually quadruples the small risk (<0.6%) of prostate cancer in dogs. I pray they will be able to successfully treat your baby. Please keep us posted.

Thank you all. I heard that too about neutering. The prevailing thought used to be that neutering prevented this but now who knows anymore.
