| Red/ Brown Bumps on Lily's Tummy - HELP! Hey All - I am new to yorkie talk and have a 1 and 3 month old little girl, Lily. She is a very happy and healthy dog and has been doing great but over the weekend I found two red/pinkish raised bumps on her stomach that almost looked like pimples. I showed my friend who is a vet in passing and she said I shouldnt be alarmed but now last night I noticed the spot where they are has turned brown - they almost look like two moles, one probably the size of an eraser head on the pencil and the other about half that size. I am worried about it and have no idea what it could be (Lily is my first dog!). I am thinking of taking her to the vet to be sure but I feel like I end up taking her to the vet for every little thing and it ends up being nothing. Has anyone experienced this/ know what it may be???? My vet is opened until noon today and i am freaking out!! Thanks in advance! Holly |

| No idea what they are but because they aren't going away and are looking odd, I would probably go in.

| Take her to the vet! With these lil pups, always watch everything! Prudence taught me this lesson.

| Hi I have a 3 month old yorkie called holly who has the same symptons; little pimples that turned into brown moles on her tummy, did you find out what they were as I am getting worried? I spoke to a vet nurse who said to keep an eye on them and take her to see vet if still concerned in a couple of weeks. Any advice would be appreciated Thanks Dinky |

| Yes, I found it it was a bacterial skin infection. The vet wasnt positive but she thought it was probably canine impetigo - this is especially common with little pups around 3 - 9 months of age so it sounds like thats what your pup my have. The vet gave me a antibiotic cream to put on Lily's spots for ten days and it went away - nothing too serious. Good luck! |
