Zoey is at the surgeons. Dr.Applewhite kept her there in case he could do the surgery tonight. If not,it will be in the morning. He said that she is in severe condition. He will fuse her neck with cement and put pins in it. If she makes it through surgery, he said she will live a normal life. There are several risks to the surgery including her weight, size, the pins could come loose and rupture the main blood vessel. It all sounds so scarry. But without the surgery he said she would die.
Zoey will be in a splint for 2-4 weeks, depending on her. Dr. Applewhite said he would keep us informed on how she is doing. I am going to call and check on her.
I will let all of you know what is going on as soon as I know anything. I wanted to stay there, but had family issues at home to take care of.

OH I am so glad that Zoey Grace is with the surgeon now.. And he can make her better.. You are very lucky she has made it this long.. Wow I am amazed..

I just lit a candle for your dear Zoey. I pray that the surgery is successful and that she's able to lead a normal life.

Prayers to you, also. I just can't imagine what it feels like to go thru something like this.

Is this what Bleu Barber went through? If it is, has anyone put Zoey Grace's mommy in touch with Vicky? Prayers for Zoey Grace and her mommy.

I have told Vicki but I am the one that was there to explain everything to Vicki when she was going through it with Bleu Boy.. I have given this mom information though.. And I have started a candle ceremony for her little Zoey Grace.. And I hope and pray everything goes well..
