| Diddy is so sick, what can i do to help him? I took Diddy to the vet on Monday because he has a red pea sized lump on his cheek/lip. My normal vet was not available so I had to see someone else. The 1st thing out of his mouth was "It could be cancer" I could not believe he said that! Then he looked at his chart and noticed that Diddy is only 1 yr old and then said, "It is probably just a bug bite" I hope that is all it is! He gave him a Vetalog steroid shot and Clavamox to take for 2 weeks. He said if it is still there in 2 weeks they will probably remove it. I did not like this Dr. at all! Diddy seemed ok Monday and Tuesday, just a little tired. I gave him his 1st Clavamox pill Tuesday night and he threw up Wednesday morning. He also threw up 4 more times yesterday. I stopped giving him his pill. He has taken it before with no problems. I have been trying to get him to drink water. This morning I put some of his kibble in water and he ate it. He is just laying around and looks so sad. What can I do to make him feel better? I feel so helpless! I am worried he is going to get dehydrated. I called the vet this morning and I am waiting for my regular vet to call me back. I have been worried sick the past 2 days!

| I'm so sorry, hope the vet calls soon. Do you think he would drink if you put just a tiny bit of Karo in his water? |

| Oh No, Diddy is sick. I would be sure to let your regular vet know the dosage of the pills the other "non-bedside manner" vet gave you for Diddy. Maybe there too strong for him, that's why this time he threw them up. I hope your regular vet calls you back soon. They sure can worry us. Please keep us informed and give Diddy hugs and kisses from me and my boys. "Get Well Soon " Diddy.

| Thanks so much for all the well wishes everyone! Diddy sends hugs to all of you! It is so nice to come to Yorkie Talk and be surrounded by caring people that understand what you are going through. People at work think I overreact when my baby is sick. Diddy hasn't thrown up in a while and he even played with his sister for a little this evening. The vet thinks it is from the Clavamox pills. I have to pick up a liquid form tomorrow and try that. I am also making him rice and chicken to see if he will eat it. Thanks again to everyone!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | the pills could be making him feel sick - lots of antibiotics have that reaction - both in dogs and humans....poor little guy - I hope he feels better - it sounds like he already is and that's great !! |
