| Fuzzy's Sick... We went for a long walk and when we got back she crashed on the couch. Then she got up and ate all of her food. Then she started lying down unresponsively and throwing up until she'd thrown up her whole dinner. Now she is very tired and not too responsive although she'll lift her head and look around from time to time. I'm definately planning to take her to the vet tomorrow, but do you think I should take her to the emergency room tonight? |

| If I were you I'd at least call the emergency vet. They can tell you whether or not they think you should bring her in. Excessive throwing up is never good though, you should probably take her in just to be safe. Hope she's okay! Keep us updated! Quote:

| If this is unusual behavior for her, I would call the ER vet tonight. They can do a phone consultation and tell you whether you should bring her in. How old is she? Does she have any known health issues?

| Poor baby! I would def. call, like the others said. It may be best to take her in tonight, and could actually end up costing you less than if you waited, because if she throws up all night she could get really dehydrated. Poor girl, please keep us posted.

| Thanks everyone - she drank water after she threw up and hasn't thrown up in an hour or so, so I'm not too worried about her being dehydrated... We'll call the ER and see what they say... |

| are her gums nice and pink? do her eyes look "there" or does she appear off somewhere. When you think about it.. if we go for a very long walk.. and then we were to come home and eat.. we would probably throw it up too... will she eat a treat if you give her one??? i'd keep an eye on her... try offering her small amounts of kibble.. or something bland like cheerios and see if she can keep small amounts down... if she is really worrying you call the ER vet but something tells me she just over did it |

| Well - she woke up again, drank some water and is playing with her stuffed bunny and jumping on the furniture again... I called the ER and they told me that it's up to me whether I bring her in or not - not too helpful... Anyway, we're going to call her vet tomorrow and try to get in - but it seems that the panic mode is over... Thanks again! |

| Nice pink gums - beady eyes are there - started the snack test and she immediately jumped up as soon as she heard the kitchen noises... I gave her a little bit of brown rice (one of her favorites) - we'll see if she keeps it down! Now I think she was just faking it! Oh well I'm on to her new games - and she's still going to see the vet tomorrow! That'll teach her!!!!! |

| She's much better... The vet put her on a bland diet and injected some fluids, but she was already pretty much back to normal by the time she got there. She did throw up this morning a little... She's getting blood tests on Monday morning, but she seems to be 100%... |

| I was going to mention that they shouldn't eat for an hour after a long walk. Also not to walk till one hour "after" eating too. I hope there isn't anything more serious. |

| Well - Fuzzy went in for blood work on Monday and we found out yesterday that it didn't go too well and she may have a shunt... She hasn't had any symptoms of liver problems yet - just the vomiting episode last week, so they're not sure. She has to get more tests now to see... I should hear more tomorrow... |
