| coughing/honking....reverse sneeze?? Mostly at night, our little girl gets this cough that sounds like a goose honk or like shes coughing up a hairball. We took her to the vet and they said nothing is wrong with her. So we went online and found out it might be reverse sneezing. Does anyone else have this problem with their pups?

| If you cover her nostrils to make her swallow and she stops...chances are it's reverse sneezing. Is there a chance it could be kennel cough? You're describing that exactly. |

| My 5 year old yorkie has reverse sneezing attacks just about daily...I usually try and get her to open her mouth, as they're not breathing out of their mouths when they're doing this..she comes walking over to me for me to pick her up, and I rub her throat and calm her down and try to get her to give me kisses...somedays are a lot worse than others, and you can tell at the time how scared she is, but, within a few seconds, she's done and back to her old self again |
