| sores around private area I have a question, my little girl at 13 weeks old has these tiny little scabs around the base of her peepee area. i started picking them off thinking it was just dirt that had gathered and noticed small specs of blood under what i thought was dirt. has anyone experienced this? she never seems to bite or scratch there... it doesnt appear to be serious and we have shots coming up soon and i was just gonna ask the vet then but was wondering if anyone had any input. thank you |

| Is there any chance she has fleas. They often crawl around down there. Either that or it could be a bacterial or fungal problem

| mmmmm make sure it does not turn into vasculitis .. I would take her to vet asap so if it is anything you can catch it in due time.. Dont wait you never know with these darlin babies.. I know another lady is on here with the same symptoms and her situation has worsened and they may have to do a biopsy... I would have her checked it may be nothing but you never know! im not trying to scare you either!

| My Zada had this problem not long after I got her only to find out I wasn't washing around the vulva well enough to get it clean. Now to describe why cleaning hers is different than Azrael's. "Picture this" ..... say you have a little marshmellow and you stick a bean down into it, but not to cover the bean. The area beside the bean is a bit deep, and you have to actually push the bean to the side to wash down in the groove all the way around. That's the best I can come up with to explain how the vulva kind of has a little groove around it. Azrael's doesn't, and neither does Raziel. Zada ended up with those little scab looking things that was just built up pee and such stuck to the skin before I actually noticed. Now I make sure I take the little wash cloth and wash that area before giving her a bath. |

| My boy has a weird rash around his private area too! I'm going to see whats up with that when I give him a bath today. I think he seems to itch down there sometimes. I don't think he could have fleas, because I'm sure I would've caught on by now since fleas severely mess with my skin. I'm thinking his problem is just the shampoo & conditioner I used last time??? I think he just has pretty dry skin. Could that possibly the problem? I just read Yorkiedaze's reply and I think that's what Xavier's problem is...when I first bathed him I didn't pay close attention to that area because he was so upset about his bath that I just wanted to get him outta the tub!

| BE SURE AND CHECK WITH YOUR VET I ONLY KNOW THIS WORKS IN HUMANS AND IF SOMETHING WAS TO NOT BE RIGHT I DONT WANT YOU TO HOLD ME RESPONSIBLE IM ONLY TRYING TO HELP IS ALL IF THIS WAS MY BABY THIS IS WHAT I WOULD DO ! I know it is ok for humans...Im almost positive it will be ok but if something was to go wrong I do not want to be the one to blame. Make sure your baby can not lick it . Try bathing his ears in SELSUN BLUE it has selenium sulfide 1/% It is a dandruff shampoo GET IT AT WALMART $6.00 GET THE DAILY ! One of my docs swears by this stuff and has told all his patients to use it for allergies ringworm, fungal type situations. IT WORKS TRUST ME IT WORKS.. Anything comes up on the skin we bathe in this and WHAMO ALL GONE! This is my suggestion if you find out it is not harmful. Put it on his ears it will coat on there like CALADRYL let it dry he will have BLUE EARS haha.. Then wash off once it dries apply 3 times a day for 3 days and update us.... I truly in my heart if this was my dog I would try this... I hope I have helped you in some way... If you need to pm me Im praying for your baby!

| Ask Your Vet It Does Have Selenium Sulfide 1% Which Kills Bacteria.. Be Careful I Know On Humans It Can Be Used Anywhere On The Body... The Doc In Particular Has Told People To Use It For Wringworm Athletes Feet Scabies Poor Complexion Ect... It Is More Than Just Dandruff Shampoo. My 14 Year Old Uses It On His Face To Prevent Breakouts And It Works .. Teenager Going Through Puberty And He Has A Clear Complexion.... I Would Be Grasping For Straws To Find Anything That Helped My Baby And This Is The First Thing That Came To My Mind When I Read The Thread! Im No Vet... Just Trying To Help With Ideas
