| help right now please my 6 month old yorkie just got in to some candy it was sour patch kids she ate some of the sugar not much a good few licks what do i need to do is sugar bad for them please let me know |

| I agree - a few licks of sugar isn't good for her, but it shouldn't be harmful. I'm always sad when people have to join YT to get an emergency question answered. So while I think your baby is okay, I'd like to welcome you to YT. Please stick around and let us get to know you and your Sour Patch baby better!!

| i am on here alot just never had to ask a question i have a had two yorkies i lost the first one due to letting some family keep her while i was gone came home and found out she had eat a good amount of meat she died a few days later and i got Annie the yorkie i'm asking the question about she didn't eat any of the pieces just the sugar in the left of package i thought it was out of her reach but she some how got on to the table and was licking the package i just didn't know if i need to try to get her to a vet i just can't take losing another one thanks for the fast replys |

| She might get sick if she got a little too much for her little body to digest, but just make sure she keeps drinking water and she will be just fine!!

| sorry but sad to say i live in a small town and the nearest vet is around 45 miles away and he doesn't have a night number you page him and he goes to his vet office and you have to meet him there that is why i started this post |

| Please don't worry at all. Sugar is not healthy but it certainly won't hurt in small amounts. Chocolate and any kind of fake sugar (nutrisweet) are what you have to be concerned with.
