| Mickey's Update I woke up to A Little Boy Yorkie standing on my chest kissing my face. His little tail was wagging so fast. Then Minnie saw him giving me so many kisses , she had to get in the action too. lol Mickey looks like hes feeling 99% better today. We got up and he had his pill and I cut up his can food and hand feed him a small plate of that. he was very hungry. I offered Minnie some but she smelled it and walked away The vet said it would not hurt her if she had some too. And guess what? when I woke up there was not one pee spot on my floors, Only on the peepads. woohoo I knew he was just poyyting on my floors because he was so sick. He does seem to have sore red eyes , I noticed yesterday that they was watering a lot and seem so sore.and after he woke up from being sedtad he had slime on them. after he was feeling a bit better I bathed and groomed him. I also shaved all the hair away from his eyes. I hated to shave it but wanted to make sure it was not making his eyes worse. heres a picture of him from today. and the last one is of Minnie. | I'm so glad to hear that he's doing so much better!! That's exactly what Miko does when he's not feeling well due to his stones...He will pee on the carpet usually very bright and orangy to let me know he's not doing well. That's the only time he has ever peed off the pad on purpose. I was so worried about Mickey, but I'm so glad he's improving so much! Thanks for sharing those pictures

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That's GREAT news !! Bless his heart he was telling you he felt better...That had to be so painful poor little guy ......but something like that must hurt an extra lot..ouch ! I'm glad he's feeling better...so he IS eating his special food ?? he may have just been too groggy yesterday.... ps...there's an eye ointment I use on Tessa my cocker - I can find out the name of it for you - it's just an antibiotic but really helps her eyes when they get red

| Not having an ER vet available 24 hours is very frustrating. I also live where you have to call and leave a message, and if the vet is out on a cow or horse call, it can be a while. Plus, when I've called after hours, I've felt pressured to "wait til morning" (Well, you could bring him in if you think it's necessary, but the fee is 250.00, and your left kidney....). I finally located an emergency vet that is staffed 24 hours a day. It is 3 hours away, but at least I know I have options if I can't reach my vet after hours. I am so sorry you and Mickey had to suffer through that terrible night. Your vet's office should have had a machine answering, instructing you to leave a message or something. I could just cry thinking about how that must have hurt him and you! So glad he's better. Hope he recovers completely and has no more stones.
