| Fight 4 Our FurBabies Rants... I wanted to make this thread because I know a lot of us have our problems with the way our babies are treated... this is my personal problem... I believe I should be able to take Roxy everywhere I want... If I was Paris Hilton and I came into a store or restaurant with my dog, they wouldnt think twice to tell me I couldnt bring my dog in... Roxy is clean... VERY CLEAN!!! I go to so many restaurants and I get sick when I see kids picking their noses, snots all over their face, screaming, crying.... touching the food in stores... BLAAAAAAAH!!! Roxy stays in her pink stroller and is completely covered and they complain while Jason is over in the vegetables putting his dirty little hands all over my future onions. To me, this is unfair!!!! I am not saying I hate little kids, cause I DONT! My best friend gets mad at me but its like she just doenst understand because she has 2 kids, who arent always the cleanest in the world... Roxy is SOOO clean!!! She smells better than most children and has very good manners... Do I think everybody should be able to bring their dogs in?? No, not if theyre not well behaved or able to be kept... But I think there should be more places willing to cater to pet owners... We love our dogs like most ppl love their children... and in some cases even more. Does anybody understand what I mean? Or am I crazy like my best friend thinks??? P.S. She's a lot better dressed than a lot of kids too... lol. Roxy in her pink stroller when its opened in front... (she was only 7 months in this pic) *~*Jenny & Roxy*~*

| While I don't think dogs should be allowed where there is food sold/served, I also get annoyed with kids that can't behave themselves. That doesn't mean I think they should stay home, they just need to keep their hands to themselves.

| See, thats exactly what my Best Friend thinks I am saying too, but its not... I dont think that kids should have to stay home... In fact, quite the contrary!!! I just think if ppl can have their kids out and about who are much dirtier and run a risk of touching things more than my Yorkie does, then why can't I bring my super clean, non shedding, inside a closed stroller Yorkie in??? It doesnt make sense to me.

| COMPLETELY understand. I also think that Layla is better behaved than most children i see at RESTAURANTS (i'm not saying she is better behaved than your child.. just those that i see) she would stay in her little purse or stroller and not bother anyone... and to me.. she is my CHILD... while id ont' know what it is like to have a skin child, i love her as though she was and if she behaves better than kids.. doens't shed or lick plates why can't she come??? you can't say it's because of allergies or because she will be all over the place because both of those arguments don't hold up. how can you say no to this face |

| A lot of people are allergic to dogs(and you can't say well, a yorkie can come in here, but, shedding dogs can't)..people usually aren't allergic to kids. |

I completely understand what the OP is saying though. S'anah is better behaved and cleaner than most kids (including my own at times) as well. I think as long as she is kept in her stroller or bag there shouldn't be a problem.

| Yes I agree!!! Roxy wouldnt be licking any plates, and she is just so civilized all the time. She is clean, and plus... she doesnt shed, she doesnt cause allergy flare ups because she doesnt shed... and even so... SHE IS IN A CLOSED UP STROLLER!!! I would even put a little blanket over her... Where she could look out, and she'd probably sleep the whole time anyways... I believe I love Roxy just as much as I love a child... Just because I didnt give birth to her, I felt like I adopted her just like you would adopt a child... She is my most precious little thing, my heart... and I think I should be able to take her anywhere... How can anybody say no to this???? Awww.

| There is a lot more chance of catching a disease from a person than an animal... most bacteria and viruses are species specific. I think I'm allergic to kids most of the time too LOL They really make me nervous most of the time

| Many ppl are allergic to many things, my Mother is allergic to perfume, and that doesnt stop ppl from wearing perfume all the time... My friend is allergic to the ingredients in shampoo, and many times when she is around little kids, she gets a rash from the type of shampoo they use in their hair... Theres no way to stop EVERYONES allergies, but Roxy wouldnt cause that to happen anyways since she is well kept, doesnt shed, & concealed. It is quite bothersome to have her with me all day and have to take her home just cause I want to go out to eat... I go to burlington because they love when I bring her there... But WalMart gives me a big hoopla. I've never had one person have a problem with her... my mom has terrible allergies, and she has no problem with Roxy... Only my Chihuahuas... because they carry dander and shed.

| While I TOTALLY agree with most of the posting becuase my Lil man is much cleaner than most people and their snot nose kids. I can also see where it is only appropriate for certain places. I can see if it is an outside casual restaurant, but an inside restaurant maybe not so much. Mainly becuase all dogs would not be appropriate. I mean I don't want a giant Lab sitting in the booth next to me I love 'em but don't want to eat by them. However, you are also right, sometimes I have Cosmo in my front backpack when I go into Target or Trader Joes. He is contained and clean so why not?! I also hate the LOOKS! Like geez those ppl with small dogs have to take them everywhere like they are their children...NEWS FLASH HE IS MY CHILD!!! I mean I still have a 10 year old daughter at home, but my DH got me Cosmo when my 20 year old son moved out so I wouldn't have such a breakdown! AND you are right he is cleaner, better behaved, and better dressed than most ppl's grubby little kids Love kids too, it is just a point

| I still don't understand that. I have taken Susanah into Nordstrom's. They loved her! I have taken her into Tiffany's with me. They had a blast playing with her. I have taken her into just about every store in the "upper class" mall in Atlanta. She even sat in my lap while I got one of the "makeovers" at the M.A.C. counter. But OMG Wal-Mart and Target both threw a FIT! LOL!

| The problem is that if we get to take our furbabies into restaurants then that opens up the door for ALL dogs to come into restaurants.....and we all have to agree there are lots of dogs out there that we would ALL hate to see in restaurants!!!
