This is my living room and tHe adorable girl in is my niece Natalie from California who came with her family to visit . . she is such a cutie

oh thanks . . . the taupe wasn't as dark as I wanted it but I have learned to love it until I can paint it RED. Anyway, yes Natalie is a doll and right now all she wants to wear are dresses. She adores the clamp style clips sample I sent her mom ended up ordering 4 of every color

Oh no girl....I actually think the taupe looks GREAT! That is almost the exact same shade of taupe that is in one of our bathrooms (the one in our bedroom) except mine may be a shade or two darker. I know you want those red walls girl....lol - I LOVE them too which is why I just had to paint my bedroom that color

And what a little girly girl she is wanting to wear all those pretty little dresses

oh you should see her brother, he is also very cute. In fact he reminds me of those japanese cartoons with their big, big round eyes

Oopps, got completely distracted . . . okay I don't really take pictures of my house unless I am hosting so this was taken maybe last year or the year prior during the christmas holidays. It really isn't too obvious but my walls are of muted yellow and just love it. I no longer have the laptop in my kitchen. It has moved to the dungeon (gofetch room)

Cooking and baking was my passion until the furkids came along so now I rarely use the kitchen much and hubby does the cooking now

our house isn't finished no telling when it will be. our walls aren't painted. knobs and pulls on cabinets aren't all installed,no doors up no blinds or curtain some outlets & lights not up but we have it liveable. 4 bathrooms to be tiled and completed,vents need to be put in the celings no oven or dishwasher..but we have a huge house. the hubby built it from the ground up only thing he hired out to have done is cabinets for main bath and granite counters carpeting drywall roof shingles otherwise he built it all. it has taken MANY years and i guess will take many more to make it look lived in or decorated & finished. our yard/land is a giant mud pitt right now it just rained we have very little patches of grass and the beginning of a pond some day maybe it's all frustrating but at least we have a decent place to live even if it isn't done. i'll take some pics when i get new batterys for the digi cam. maybe i can find some old ones on my computer.

Here's a tip (that you may or may not know) that might help with the handles on the cabinets...make a template for each drawer and door so you get the holes even. If you don't you have to measure or eyeball each one and they're never straight. If you make one out of cardboard the hole tends to get lost after a few so use a thin piece of plastic or something sturdy that will hold up better.
