| Are Girl Yorkies easier to train than Boy Yorkies? Ok so please tell us your opinion and your experience. Are girl yorkies easier to train than boy yorkies. I know I never could get my Parker trained and gave up. Maddie was easy to train. Also we might us this for my daughters science fair project. Thanks for helping. |

| It was easier to train Kona to use the pee pads. Bernie would rather go outside, but he isn't able to let us know yet that he needs to go out. So in my case, I do think that Kona was easier to train than Bernie.

| I dont think it's a gender thing so much as it is a personality thing. Oscar was easy to train because he was such a timid puppy (loud clap would stop him from doing a bad behavior, etc.) - Ruthie has NO FEAR, and she's mastered pee pad training but has very little focus when it comes to teaching commands. Oscar picked up commands, but still has the occassional potty accident.

| I agree with Oscar's Mommy. I think it really depends on the actual yorkie. Starsky was a piece of cake to potty train, but Shylah struggles. She doesn't need to do her business right after eating like most dogs do. It's hard to figure her schedule. But she is getting better with using the pads. Good luck to you!

| My boy was easier than my girl. I don't think sex has anything to do with it though.

| My boy yorkie was WAAAAAAAAAAAY more easy to train than my girl. Hobbs will run to the door when he needs to go outside. Hootie knows she is not supposed to potty inside, but she won't let me know when she needs to go outside. And if I don't take her outside and she needs to go, she'll go in the house. Ugh. I think my boy was easier to train because my boy is more eager to please than my girl. My girl is more independant and could really care less if I'm happy with her or not. My boy is very sensitive and gets his feelings hurt easily when I am mad at him. This makes him WANT to please me, thus he was easier to potty train. |

| Two of my girls were great. Emilee always pees on paper, but poos in the kitchen. Gidget does both on her paper. She does the best. Both were very easy learning to pee on pads. Joey, no way, he wears a belly band. Izzie, she hasn't had an accident since she spayed. If I had to choose male or female...I'd say my females were easier.
