does your yorkie conform to standards? just curious to know, how many of us have yorkies that actually conform to standards as defined by akc? maybe not "show quality" but fit within the standards criteria like - weight not exceeding 7 lbs - straight topline - erect ears - straight silky coat (length of coat doesn't matter) - standard colors etc. here's the akc link if you're interested: http://www.akc.org/breeds/yorkshire_terrier/index.cfm my bunjee is totally non-standard. but i love him anyways.

My yorkie conforms to the standard on everything except coat type. I thought she had a silky coat. (It rarely tangles and is long and soft like silk. I was told on this thread because her eyes shine yellow in the pictures she has a cotton coat.)

color Shining yellow does not mean a soft coat...is it yellowish-green or yellowish- orange, amber..BIG difference..if it does not mat..believe me it is NOT soft. You can not take one photo in one type of light and get a100% accurate eye flash.
