| Do you keep your Yorkie in their crate in the car? My lil guy does the happy dance everytime I get his black leash out to take him with me in the car. I live in a real small town where everybody knows your name. Most of the time, my little guy thinks he's driving the car. If, we lived in a large city, I'd put him in his crate. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I don't see an option for doggie car seat. I don't have her in a crate but she sits in her little car seat which has a clip that makes sure she stays put. She loves it since she can look out of the windows or nap as she desires.😀 |

| Same here! I don't crate, and I would never let let her ride on my lap or loose in the car. ZoE always rides in her carseat.

| Mine ride in their car seat.....I try real hard to impress on all my new owners to do like wise, either crated or secured in a car seat. I had an elderly lady buy two of my babies....she was just going to the little strip center for gas one day.....someone ran a red light and she was hit. The driver door buckled, both terrified little girls bolted from her lap, out the door, and into the busy intersection, where they were both promptly run over and killed, right in front of their horrified owner. If she had only listened to me and put those babies in a car seat or carrier....... She never got over loosing those babies like that.....she came back 4-5 years later and thought she was ready to try bringing a new baby into her life, but she ended up returning that pup less than 8 months later, because she just couldnt bear it...she was completely heartbroken over her loss of her two little girls, and she never got over it. If only......... |

I'm so sorry ! I hope your story expresses the importance of 'yes maybe it CAN happen to me!' I too have a car seat strapped in for my oldest one ....the baby is still timid so she finds security in her carrier yet ....but it is also seat belted tight each and every time no matter how much in a hurry I am..... | |

| I secure Teddy's crate on the floorboard of the car so he doesn't fly out of the windshield in the event of an accident and also will not be thrown around the car. |

| That carseat it a large Pet Gear booster seat. It's my favorite! I have 3 carseats. I started with a medium Pet Gear in grey. It matched my then car's interior. Then I bought an extra carseat for another vehicle. That one is a medium snoozer. Snoozers were highly recommended by many here on YT, but Zo didn't care for it as the sides are softer, and Zo likes to stand on the sides, and they would buckle when she stood on them. Then I bought a new car with black leather interior, so wanted a black Pet Gear. On the recommendation of another YT member, I went with the large size this time and I am so glad I did! It gives Zo plenty of room to stretch out on long trips, and has the firm sides she likes to stand on while looking out the window, and it looks great in my car!

| My girls go together in their crate which is seat belted into the backseat. I rear-ended another car REALLY hard (more to the story than that, lol) & they weren't hurt a bit, thank goodness.

| I bought about three different car seats for Mia but she would just shake and pant the whole time and struggle to get to me. I finally gave up and put her in her crate which she loves and she just settles right down. Whenever I go, she cannot wait to go with me. I am hoping one day she will feel secure enough to try the car seat again. |
