| Have You Ever Conidered Breeding Your Yorkie? I got sick of seeing the other poll about meat on the YT home page, so I decided to make a new one. Have you ever considered breeding your Yorkie?

| No I would never consider breeding my yorkies. As adorable as my Rio is to me, he is not breeding quality, my little Mignon is precious and a beautiful yorkie but she will not be more than 3 and a half lbs full grown. Only a fool would breed a yorkie that small. Besides all of these reasons I signed a contract stating I would never breed these dogs. |

| Due to Sammi's Iniguial hernia and underbite, I couldnt breed her even if I had wanted to...I wouldnt want either of those things passed down to her liter of puppies...

| Nope. Even before I had gotten Bella, I knew that I wanted a dog as a pet to love, thats it. I had her spayed as soon as I can. A lot of people get dissapointed when they find out that she's spayed, oh well!

| Not Sully, of course - but in the future I am really considering it. I haven't looked a lot into it but I know I'd totally enjoy the good and bad of getting to spend so much time with tiny cute little puppies!!!

| I didn't think about it before. But after about a month of getting him fixed, I was talking to my breeder and she told me that Gus's father died in a freak accident. This last winter was really cold and windy. And he was in their back yard and was killed when the wood fence fell on him. They were so devistated and were so upset that they didn't keep any of his male pups to carry on his blood line. I was the only one who really kept intouch with them so they were going to ask me if I would let them use Gus as a stud. I'm sure I could have worked out an agreement for a female in return. But it was too late. Is manhood had already been taken away.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | monica that is sooo sad!!! they must have been devistated. i chose yes but we haven't bred yet. i don't know if we would ever really do it, because we plan to get tucker fixed, but i think it would be cool to do it just once. but we would have to research it a lot first.

| No . Because there are too many dogs needing new homes . I'll never add to the overpopulation even if Yorkies are popular , they are at risk too . |

| Even before I got both my dogs, I was planning on having them spayed/neutered and I did as soon as possible. I would never breed dogs because there are so many "homeless" dogs being euthanized everyday in shelters.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Yes and NO....we thought about it with Magic, but she never got big enough to be healthy pregnant so we had her fixed...with Sailor, she doesn't have all the right qualities, so we had her fixed as well...plus we just could go through the whole birthing process, it grosses me out too much...but the puppies sure are fun!! So I just go visit my aunt's puppies instead...

| Yes, I plan to breed Sweetie. I have a male picked-out from the same line. I do believe in selective breeding. We all want the Yorkie at its best, not just putting two dogs together to see want you get.
