How many times a day do you feed your Yorkie?

Just curious. Ellie is fed 3x daily and she used to be free fed before homecooking.

I free feed solid gold about a 1/2 bowl. A little fresh chicken in the morning, and feed solid gold can with fresh chicken mixed in for dinner. Sometimes the dry food isn't touched and sometimes it's all gone. I have to be very care not to over feed.

I leave the food down but if she comes to remind me, and i see the bowl empty, i fill it. I use dry food.
But this week as a treat I have been adding mashed potatoes (home made) ...

I feed twice a day. Works really well for us, they only poop once per day in the AM

i fed RAW so Morgan gets fed twice a day. When she was on kibble she was free fed because she was a self regulator

Lil' Miss Izzie gets fed once in the morning and then again at night, but with her teething she will sometime eat her morning meal and at other times she just picks at it, but I always add to it with her evening meal.......the majority of the time when I get up in the morning she has finished her two feedings. She also likes a bit of working for her food so I will feed her out of an empty water bottle... that she loves....she not only gets to play, but can eat too... plus she is a bit spoiled and likes an additional lil treat..like plain yoghurt, paramasean cheese, tuna/beef/chicken broth

2x per day - I think its the only way I could potty train. I used to free feed, but now Stewie & I live w/ my boyfriend and his dog... his dog is a big bully and eats Stewie's food if I leave it out.

Because Smokey can't seem to stop pooping 4+ times a day, the lady we got him from said we should try feeding him when I get home from work (at 4:30) then taking him on a walk to wait for him to poop, so for now he's getting fed one nice sized meal.

Chip is get two smaller portioned meals.

We feed twice a day....About 8 am and about 5:30 pm....Depending on if we had an active day...They got a little extra something...They also get a tsp of yogurt a day....They love it....

They are raw fed and get 2 meals per day, plus snacks and always something small right before bed.

I have been living with my parents for a while to help my mom after an operation and the two dogs at home (lab and staffies) get fed once a day. Cash used to pick at his food and ate really poorly. But since we have been there, I feed him with the other dogs. He loves competition, so finishes all his food at once. He has put on 1kg (I think that is 3 pounds) and is looking a lot healthier than he used to - he used to be a little skinny. He still has loads of energy , so I will be sticking to this plan when we move back.

I feed Izzy 2x a day and that was recommended by our vet - so at 6am when I get up and then at 5:30pm when I get home. Then she gets a snack around 7:30pmish like Yorkie Yummies or Cafe Max Cinnabuns.

I used to free feed kibble, then switched to homecooking - 3 meals a day. We had to do 3 bc of the sheer volume required, and Marcel was too small to eat it in 2 meals. Now we're on raw - and I'm still doing 3, but am thinking I can go to 2 bc the volume isn't as much.
