| Sony Nex-5 Anyone have experience with this camera, if so, what's you thoughts on it, please? I have a Nikon D3000, I'm a amateur and never really figured out how to use the manual settings, so I mostly just go with the auto. I know...what a waste of a good camera So, I wanted something smaller and less bulky to carry with me, I bought a Nikon CoolPix S9300 yesterday...not so thrilled with the sharpness of the photos, thinking of returning it. I know now, I can't expect to much for a point & shoot. So, looking on line, I read some pretty good reviews on the Sony Nex-5 and I it says it like a DSLR only in a compact body. Anyone have experience with this camera or can suggest one I might look into Thanks!

| I don't have a clue about camera's Tena, but I am going to follow your thread. My old tired Kodak Easyshare has seen its better days. I need something simple but I also want nice crisp pictures. Anxious to see what the experts recommend

| LOL, I'm with ya Michelle. I don't know much about them either, but after having pictures with the Nikon D3000, the point & shoot is disappointing, but I want something less bulky too. Darn, maybe I'm asking for to much in a camera I did notice you can still put lens on the Sony Nex-5 and setting manual settings, if i would ever learn how to do that. I really liked the Sony Nex-7 but a little to costly for my amateur photos I believe.

| Is the Sony a point and shoot? I would never use all the features of a complicated DSLR....My DIL is a photographer and she has a very complicated camera, with a lot of different lenses. It takes amazing pictures, but no way would I take the time to figure it out. Heck I have a hard enough time with a point and shoot

| It a step between a point & shoot and a DSLR. I have read some of Sony's point & shoots are really nice though.

| I don't know much about these cameras, but there are other cameras also like the Sony's. I use a Nikon D300, but I would love to have one of the smaller Nikons also. Good luck with your camera, Tena. I'm sure you will love it. Nikon 1 Cameras | Interchangeable Lens Cameras from Nikon
