Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Prayers For Firefighters In Calif. Please keep those in the areas of all these fires in your prayers. We just now heard that another has broke out in Orange County. We are all okay here but south of us is really bad. All the fire fighters really need our prayers and also pray for the winds to dye down. Patti and Jack |

| I'm praying for more rain too. These winds can really fan those fires. We've had three days of very windy days, but no fires so far. |

| We are getting ashes and smoke from the Orange County fire. The fire is about 10 miles to the South/East of us. - Just checked the wind and it's blowing North/West so that explains the smoke & ash. I've got the A/C going to keep the air clear and will have it on all day tomorrow while I'm at work for the "Girls". I hope the traffic won't be too bad because of the fire... Wind is terrible! I'm more worried about losing power! Got the hand crank radio out & ready, candles on stand by and hanging out with you guys! Rain would be soooooooooo freaking welcome right now - We are supposed to be in the 90's tomorrow

| Thoughts for all affected are coming from norcal to socal. I lived in Northridge during a few horrible fire seasons, it stinks. Stay inside as much as possible and don't exercise outside.

Patti is right, please pray for all the emergency crews and give wisdom to people to evacuate when told to do so.

It is so sad to look at all the fires about. We have heard that there is one now at the base of Bouquet Canyon we are watching real close all about us, it is beautiful living in the mountains and having the view of the valley but then when things like this happen it is a very uncomfortable feeling. I am so thankful that I have done all the weed wacking clearing all around our place and then some but know of many others that haven't with these high winds and the hot embers it just causes these to keep moving on. God keep all the firemen and those working so hard on these fires safe. Pray, pray, pray for the winds to lay down. Patti and Jack Last edited by Baby Blessing; 10-22-2007 at 10:20 AM. | |

| I knew you would have a thread going somewhere. I just found it! I'm sure praying for you Patti and Jack and for those working tirelessly to help keep you safe. I hope God keeps you and your home safe from these fires and their effects. Heavenly Father, please help Jack and Patti to be safe and healthy and not to worry about their home or themselves. Take care of all their needs and give them peace about this situation. Amen. |

| I watched the horror of these fires on TV last night. It's so frightening. Every year the same thing. Prayer's coming for those who are fighting these horrific fires and for you YT'ers who live in the area. Be safe. |

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | To those here in Calif. A suggestion, keep your a/c going and also if you have weep holes in your windows plug them up and cover all your vents and any exhaust vents (with aluminum foil) that the outside air could come through till this is all over. (Besure to uncover the weep holes in the windows when this is over.) It is all toooooo close, hopefully we will be getting word soon that things are improved. The wind almost knocked me over earlier and it is still just as strong. Anyone that is able to get sandwiches and nourishment to the fire men near you, please do so if you can, we hear many are working non stop and on 24 hour shifts and then some. When we had the fire here near us couple years ago, we made sandwiches and took fruits and bottled water and left it for them to get when they could. They really appreciated it. Praying for things to get better real soon. Patti and Jack |
