| What should I wear??? I'm going to a wedding in October and I am really stuck on what to wear. I can't say that I have been to many weddings...I'm 21 so this is the first of my friends to get married. What are some nice fall colors and what type of dress would be appropriate?? The bridesmaids are wearing a cinnamon color so I guess I should avoid anything close to that?? Any suggestions??

| Is it a daytime or evening wedding? Usually the dress is a bit more formal for evening weddings. But that is not a hard and fast rule. Really, you can wear most anything - just don't wear white! Don't wear anything that would make you stand out too much. The day belongs to the bride and you don't want to wear anything to upstage her. That's about the only advice I have. I bet you will have fun!

| thanks! I knew about not wearing white but this way I will definitely avoid any other colors that will stand out. The wedding is at 3 with the reception following that.

My furkids Donating Member | I am going to a wedding next weekend. The wedding is at 5:00... The groom AND groom requested black and white attire so that made it easy for me...I have a couple of black dresses. Black seems to be the color of choice nowadays.. Ask some of your friends that you are seated with what they are wearing...this will give you and idea on what to wear. Have fun!

| Since it is an afternoon wedding, I definitely agree with the suggestion to wear something that you would wear to church - except that some people don't dress up for church anymore, so that is not what I mean. I'd wear a pretty dress or suit in a muted fall color. You'll look great, I'm sure!

| I'd wear a nice fall color except not the color of the bridesmaids dresses. You could wear a nice dress.

| Whatever you decide on, just make sure the clothes AND the shoes are VERY comfortable. |

| I always wear my dancin' shoes (aka character shoes) to weddings, because they are a great place to get down and have a good time, and dance the night away! Just wear something comfortable!

| i too have a wedding in october. i need to go shopping and figure out what im wearing-i probably dont need more stuff, but im sure everyone knows how that goes.. an excuse for a new outfit!! hehe. anyways.. i would say some nice capri-type slacks with heels or cute dressier wedges.. i would stay simple in the colors(obviously no white-but you dont want to come in a super bright color and upstage the bride either) i really have no idea what i am wearing yet.. im just gonna go see what i can find-i try not to have a specific idea on what i want, because it NEVER fails.. i can never find it, when i want it. so we will see. -Good Luck!!
