| GOuch ouch has anyone here ever had Gout ... this is honestly the most Rancid illness ive ever had ... it feels like my foot joints have broken glass in them ... my doctor was like take a vicoden and a box of wine OMG eat cherrys and quit trying to strangle me ... then he said as im crying men usually get this .... *eyebrow raised* but you are an exception and then he asked me if i had ever had any trauma to me feet .... i went back to my childhood and talked about my horse who would step on my feet broken toes from kicking boyfriends and highheals to make but butt lift and he just smiled and nodded and moved outta range for me to stangle .. the yorkies love me cause i have to lay in bed and cuddle but today i hobbled to sushi hmm who needs cute shoes i just blind people with my yorkies so they never noticed the slipers has anyone else on here had this nasty illness

| My dad as that and his doc said it was from eating alot of Pork, Beans, red meat, etc all the good stuff but I know how you are feeling it kills me to see me dad in all that pain.. The last time he went to the Doc over it they gave him a shot in the rear and some other kind of meds and it seem to help alot. |

| When you have gout, you need to eat foods that are low in purines...Foods high in purines elevate uric acid level increasing the risk of gout...Fish, red meats, and organ meats have the highest amounts of purines... There are some very informative websites on the internet about this...I hope you start feeling better soon!!

| you guys are great thank you so much .. i cant belive the foods i cant eat .. NO fish chicken or any meat no whole wheat but i can have butter icecream white bread and milk ???? is this backwards or what and eggs ... i hate eggs but the good news is i was pissy about this and ate Ben and Jerrys last night since its on my food list

| Fish is higher in purines than chicken, so chicken in moderation *might* be okay, but only in moderation...moderation is key. But you should really stay away from red meat and organ meats and fish/shellfish for awhile. I'm sorry you're going through this...Just try to follow the food recommendations to help with this. Praying for you!!

| My grandfather has it, its very painful! His acts up whenever he goes to the doctors for anything....... hhhmmmmm
